MacPorts?

Hi all,

Are anyone here familiar with MacPorts? There currently is no MacPorts maintainer for OpenSCAD, and I’m not very good at figuring out how their build setup works, and how it changes over time, especially in terms of Qt.
If anyone are interested in taking this up I’d be happy to offer any support I can.

Cheers,

-Marius

I am not currently experienced with MacPorts as a developer, only a
user, so I wouldn't dream of stepping in front of someone more
qualified, but after next week, when I should be able to get into the
modern Mac era, I could step up to see what this takes.  I'm a
long-time Open Source developer and have been using OpenSCAD since
2010 or so.  I'm well acquainted with other Open Source management and
delivery mechanisms, so I don't anticipate too much trouble with
getting spun up on things.

If nobody steps forward in a week, I will.

The new (to me) MacBook arrived today, with 10.9 (Mavricks) on it.

I'm guessing that since nobody has said anything in the past 6 days
that nobody will break out in the next 24 hours, so I might as well
see what it's going to take to get a development environment on this
machine and get cracking.

Ha!  Surprise to me!  It's really got 10.10 (Yosemite) on it.  Speak
up if that matters.

Should work, but I haven’t tried to build on Yosemite myself.
If you want real-time, please find me on #openscad on irc - happy to help.
