Separating objects.

Yes, Rogier.  Many of us have been bitten by this ... feature. Sometimes
the embarrassment is minor, but occasionally it has been significant. 
Unfortunately, it seems that we are stuck with this bug.

No worries :-) It was just a comment on the principle of splitting
disjoint parts. But yes, I did that years ago and it still works.
