I don't think so. I'm sort of waiting to see what the dev team folks
say about it. I don't see anything in preferences.

As for a screen shot, (thanks Gene) here's one showing two red dots and
a box with the distance between them. This was obtained by the exact
sequence:
clicked on 'measure' icon
clicked on lower left corner of 20mm cube
clicked on upper right corner of 20mm cube

Rendering finished.

Where should I find results if it works?

Should be right on the picture in a little pop-up box.
When you click on the measure icon, then click on a part, you will
either get a line on an edge or a dot on a vertex. Then clicking on
another feature should show a pop-up box.

ESC will exit the measuring state.

I would give you a screenshot, but when I try, the box goes away.

Maybe try a later dev snapshot.

Is there any documentation?

You need to render it first.

Couple comments, 1. probably due to cheap spastic mice. I cannot seem to
place, with my nearly 90 yo hands. the red dots as precisely as shown
below. My system needs a sloewer mouse.
2. the red dots do not disappear even after a fresh render.

  1. I think I just found the slow render of F5. It writes to /tmp. F6
does not.  And this bookworm system, re-installed 35 times or more, has
at least a 30 second lag while asking for write perms for anything,
anyplace on the system. Apparently the guy's in charge of the installer
use a test script, so it falls thru bang, bang, bang, but, it the person
doing the install pauses to read the next step, a timeout is triggered
and orca and brltty are installed and activated whether your want them
or not. Then if you try to silence this PITA yelling every keystroke at
you, by turning off the exec perms, it won't reboot, sitting there
forever waiting for them to come alive, so the only way you can reboot
is to re-install yet again. But this is not the place or list to go
ballistic on, so now I'll shut up. Thanks for reading.
