I was bitten again by the automatic F5 when I opened a file. I looked
around and could not find a hint of where I might disable this
"feature". Hints, please

Thank you. I looked in Edit, Preferences. I never would have thought
to look in Design.

There are a couple of flags (this, and a number of view/hide things)
that are managed through the menus. There's a good argument that even
if they are manageable through the menus for convenience, they should
also be visible in Edit/Preferences.

I would advocate for those flags also being in Preferences.

Of course, there could be a preference,
for where you preferentially want such things located...

I don't count F5 auto reload as a preference any more than orthogonal /
perspective view, for example. I toggle both regularly. Small projects I
have it on. On large projects I have it off when viewing the top level
assembly due to how it takes, but on for smaller subassemblies.
