Mouse wheel strange behaviour uner W8.1

Hello, Gentlemen,

As everyone knows, you can zoom and pan using the mouse wheel.

But on one of my PCs, (under W8.1), this is only possible if the mouse cursor is in the (X>0, Y<0) area of the screen. Elsewhere, it is ignored.

I understand this is certainly due to something wrong in this PC, since everything is quite normal on others, but I would like to know whether somebody has met this problem before, and what he did to correct it.

And of course I have tried different mice!

Regards.

You don't say what version of OpenSCAD this is.

There have been similar reports on the mailing list, but I don't find
any of them reported as issues.

The notion of it being effective only in the X>0, Y<0 area is pretty
seriously weird, since that's often a section of the screen not aligned
with the screen's axes.  Are you sure about that part?

Also:  check Edit/Preferences/Mouse; ensure that it's set to the
OpenSCAD preset.
