I have 64 bit Win 7. I don't get the error with the version I am using at

This sort of stuff can happen:
o When doing F5 and we encounter geometry without any CSG ops (i.e. just
geometry + transformations), we calculate and cache the transformed object
by applying the transformation ourselves (i.e. without CGAL).
o When we subsequently do an F6, this cached object is used.
o However, if doing F6 from the start, CGAL is used all the way.
From the above I thought the 'ourselves' geometry was conflicting in
resolution with the CGAL geometry, so looking at the code the two
difference()'d cylinder pairs are identical, one is outside the render().
First I changed them to a module, called twice, no difference.
Added a render to the above new module, no difference.
Moved render() [the orig one not the above one] just after module
recessOrig(), error no longer occurs. Thus the same 'ourselves' geometry is
used for both, no conflict.

With 2015.03-2 F5 then F6 work.
(Tho there is a display issue with F5, do I recall problems reported about
intersection() preview issues?)
With 2016.11.11 (& .10.04) F6 alone renders OK.
Flush cache, then F5, then F6 gets CGAL error:
ERROR: CGAL error in CGAL_Nef_polyhedron3(): CGAL ERROR: assertion
violation! Expr: e->incident_sface() != SFace_const_handle() File:
/opt/mxe/usr/x86_64-w64-mingw32.static/include/CGAL/Nef_S2/SM_const_decorator.h

Something changed since 2015. I feel there are more geometry issues in
OpenSCAD generated STLs (not using imported STLs) with the snapshots.

Something changed since 2015. I feel there are more geometry issues in
OpenSCAD generated STLs (not using imported STLs) with the snapshots.
