In fact, some guy named Jon Bondy filed #5167https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_openscad_openscad_issues_5167&d=DwMDaQ&c=euGZstcaTDllvimEN8b7jXrwqOf-v5A_CdpgnVfiiMM&r=AsrE-c7ZR7B2Kyr3qgfvvppkCEBVsNmwEMndcrRSuOI&m=hz-10pE-B_Jd2Uq_H_TIHXa6wDiOm10jApMDNtMIueaAGOr9h0LKRDbdvSPCecEc&s=0PsQOaBLbqOWfXHstQSKKiMZJALdUIExLE1eZMDzn5M&e= on exactly this topic almost exactly two years ago.
I should be clear: that was intended as amusement, not as a jab. I can't tell you how many times I've encountered a bug, diagnosed it, figured out the fix needed, gone to file a bug report, checked for existing bug reports, and found that I'd encountered the same bug, done the same diagnosis, and filed a bug years before.
