Are there any plans to add an interface to the system printer dialog to
the editor?

There are no plans for anything, there's only github issues people
may pick up given time and motivation.

I didn't think there's a feature request for printing the script
itself so far but it turns out I was wrong:

From the comments it's either too hard to find or the interest is
quite low.

While it wouldn't work directly in OpenSCAD, it should be pretty straight-forward to pretty print .scad files using LaTeX --- esp. if one did one's programming using Literate Programming.
I am trying to find time to re-write my gcodepreview library thus --- I'll try to remember to drop a line about it here.
