In older versions if I open a file from the recent list and then use a File

  • Open menu option the directory it looks in is the same as the file I
current have open. In 2015.03 it looks in the directory of the last file I
opened with File - Open. I.e. opening a file from the recent list does not
change the directory to where that file came from.

Is this an intentional change or a bug? I found it useful to open a file on
the recent list just to set the directory to where that came from before
opening the file I actually want.

The old behavior still happens when you do a Save-As.

Yes the Save As dialogue seems to use the directory the currently open file
came from but it doesn't alter a subsequent file open dialogue. That seems
to remember its own idea of the current directory.
