The host of the OpenSCAD Mailing-list (lists.openscad.org) is recommending a
software upgrade.
It is currently using Mailman 2, they are transitioning to Mailman 3.
Mailman 3 is structurally different.
In particular they have noted:
If you have used hard links on your website and other locations to your
current archives, please note that these links will break. Mailman 3 now
stores archives in a database and uses a thread ID for each archived
thread. This can't be helped because this is a result of a design choice
by the Mailman 3 developers. The plus side to this new approach is you can
still easily link to a thread using its thread ID. Even individual
messages can now be linked to.
There will be new URLs to access Affinity and your archives.
The v2 archive will be migrated to v3, but URLs will change.
I am not aware of any hard-links, but I don't know what some if you may have
setup.
So, below I list example URLs which are types of hard-links.
If you have any similar links they will break.
The archive (collected monthly) top level, containing a Year/Month/Index:
