GUI Questions

Yes, I understand.  And I'm not complaining, I was just confused,  OpenSCAD
is a fantastic tool and, being free, I have absolutely no room to complain.

I would love to be able to work on it and help improve it. However, C++ is
just so confusing and obtuse to me and my experience with it is so limited
that it would take literal years for me to be productive enough to help
out. Yep, that may sound like an excuse, but I'm 70 years old and there are
just so many things that I can learn in a day. ;-)

Many, many thanks to those who can and do maintain and improve this
wonderful way of producing helpful and beautiful 3D models.

Best regards,
Len

Even so, isn't the usual workflow Preview -> Render -> Export?  Why
would the export button be in a completely different panel?

Well, I'm wishing for fully customizable keyboard shortcuts and also
toolbars. But if nobody else is going to jump in, it may take some
time as there are maybe 100 more things on my wish list and time is
limited.

With Google Summer of Code (maybe) coming up soon, I can try adding
that topic. GUI projects seem to have some higher acceptance chance.

ciao,
Torsten.

No worries, the current state was like a low hanging fruit to get
at least some option as before even the 2 buttons were fixed to
STL and DXF. I totally agree there is much room for improvement.

I'm just mention those things in a bit more verbose way in the
hope someone is reading it and says "challenge accepted" :-).

ciao,
Torsten.
