Due to an increase in SPAM the you need to be registered to create a new
topic
.
If you're reading this you are likely already registered.
If not see the hint at the top of the forum pages.

This will be reviewed at some point.

Admin - PM me if you need anything, or if I've done something stupid...

Unless specifically shown otherwise above, my contribution is in the Public Domain; to the extent possible under law, I have waived all copyright and related or neighbouring rights to this work. Obviously inclusion of works of previous authors is not included in the above.

The TPP is no simple “trade agreement.”  Fight it! http://www.ourfairdeal.org/  time is running out!

Well...that didn't work too well...

You now need to be a member to post.

I have made everyone who was registered (minus recently banned spammers) a
member, so everything should be good.

New registrants will need an Admin to make them a member.

Another idea:
Since the mailing list filters spam well, would it be possible to couple forum membership to mailing list membership?
..then the spam bots would have to be smart enough to also answer emails..

..then the spam bots would have to be smart enough to also answer emails..

They already are.
That was the flaw in my first attempt.
I had assumed they were not registering on the forum, just doing posting with a username.
They had actually registered, as per the email attached, which was quickly followed by a SPAM post.
That is why I had to go to membership, that takes an Admin to add new registered users to the
Member list. I'll give you instruction on how to do that shortly (pretty easy).

Are there any other Admins apart from you and me?

I'll also let Nabble know there captcha type thing (for registration) seems to have been breached.

No, it’s only the two of us thus far (apart from Hugo from Nabble - not sure if he’s needed any longer).
See http://forum.openscad.org/template/NamlServlet.jtp?macro=manage_users_and_groups&group=Administrators

Thanks - that might help us down the road!
