macOS 26 VM experience?

Hi all,

I’ve noticed that we’re unable to run OpenSCAD in a macOS 26 VM:
https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/6475

This is currently my only way of testing on macOS 26, so it concerns me a bit.
Just throwing this out there in case someone are able to shine a light on this:

  1. Does the current development snapshot work as expected on macOS 26 native?
  2. Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve or root cause the VM crash? It looks like a Qt+GL-related issue

Thx,

You don’t need to build, the binaries at https://openscad.org/downloads.html#snapshots should be sufficient to test.

Thanks, looks good. I was really only concerned about rendering, but it looks fine!

It’s very annoying that it doesn’t work in a VM though; still not sure how to deal with that.
