I much prefer a normal forum to email, because you can edit your posts to add
information. I don't always think before I hit post... :)

And I much prefer email to forums, because I can respond directly to the
email, rather than having to click a link, log in, find the thread, and
start composing the message. The attempts by many web sites to own the
message traffic is making things much less efficient than in the past.

The 'More' text upper right of a post, has a drop-down with an edit option.
But as I said, it edits the web post and does not get to the mailing list,
so those who just use the mailing list don't see edits, unless they come
here.
