Hi,
Sorry that's me again for something that looks like an only old Mac/old
OS issue (since nobody mentionned it before).
The crash report is attached.
This is a minor problem, I can open files from the OpenSCAD File menu.
Or with the terminal.

We generally should be 10.9 compatible, but nobody has old Macs lying
around..

Did this behavior change between 2017.02.08 and 2017.08.03 ?

I have osx 10.12.4 and openscad 2017.08.03 and double-clicking in finder
works fine for me.

Yup, this definitely looks like an issue with older version of OS X.

Yes. The problem first appeared in 2017.08.03.
Not mentionned in my previous mail: if OpenSCAD is already launched, I
can double-click .scad files, or drag them onto the OpenSCAD's icon in
the dock to open them.

This all sounds vaguely familiar. I'll see if I can find a 10.9 VM to try
this out, but it may take a while to get there.

Hi,

If the Welcome Screen is on, there's no problem.

The welcome screen isn’t visible when you double-click a .scad file. Does simply enabling that function make it work?

Hi Benjamin,

I haven’t done anything to fix this, but could you nevertheless verify that the latest build doesn’t work?
