Grab the Editor pane by its title bar and drag it where you want it to be.
If you want to lock them down, go to Edit/Preferences/Advanced, and
under "User Interface" uncheck "Enable docking of Editor and Console in
different places".
You might also consider moving to a development snapshot; render
performance with the new Manifold back end is far, far faster.
