Small suggestion for using OpenSCAD as portable software

OpenSCAD (Windows) works nicely as a portable software, except for one tiny
thing: It saves the backup files in the local documents folder.

If this could be redirected to another path, such as, for example, a
subdirectory to the installation path, it would be fully portable.

You will also find that it uses the registry.

Admin - PM me if you need anything, or if I've done something stupid...

Unless specifically shown otherwise above, my contribution is in the Public Domain; to the extent possible under law, I have waived all copyright and related or neighbouring rights to this work. Obviously inclusion of works of previous authors is not included in the above.

The TPP is no simple “trade agreement.”  Fight it! http://www.ourfairdeal.org/  time is running out!

Ah, hadn't noticed that. Well, then, it would be nice to have an option to
use ini files as well...

We may want to manage font caching in a different way as well.
Since VLC apparently is a portable application, we could look at how they do it..
