Noobiest question of the day.  When I want to open an existing file and
save a file, where can I set the default location?  The docs seem to be
ducking me today.

I am not aware of any way to set a default.

It seems to default to the last place you saved to, or maybe the last
place you opened from.  I don't know what it defaults to when you first
start it.

It seems to remember the recent files, which is good, but I thought it
reverted to some default (install location?) upon close and restart, but
this time, it came back to the folder I had open.

That works for me, if it is consistent.
