OpenSCAD recently starting locking up, crashing and/or shutting down. I tried reinstalling & rebooting, but neither one helped. I am using version 2021.01 on Windows 10 Pro, and usually edit my code using Visual Studio Code with the OpenSCAD Language Support version 1.2.5 extension (although this problem happens even when I use OpenSCAD directly). What is the problem?

If you already got an answer, I missed it.

If I used Windows 10, I would definitely try the latest development
snapshot. They tend to be stable. I have never had one that gave me any
problems on Linux.

You can get them at https://openscad.org/downloads.html#snapshots
