I confess to continuing confusion about the flow of posts here. I
posted a (short) reply thanking all respondents, and attaching a
JPG. But, as usual, I don't see it myself in my incoming mail.
Apart from the much discussed gmail issue, in this case it may be
because of this separate automated email

"The message is being held because:
The message is larger than the 1250 KB maximum size
Either the message will get posted to the list, or you will
receive notification of the moderator's decision."

Don't know about winders, don't allow it on the premises, but in linux, I
run gimp and shrink the jpeg's down to under 200k without doing easily
visible damage to the picture. Beware though, the base64 encoding used
by emailers to get around any 7 bit paths in the transmission, will then
expand it back about 25%.

Checking, I see that my JPG was 1.3 MB. So I guess I should post
links only in future for high res images.

When I make symmetrical parts from a 2D scan I mirror them along the
symmetries and hull the results (they have always been convex so far) and
then apply some rounding with offset.

Sorry Gene - my addled brain! Minutes before posting, I'd been
searching Things for 'chuck adapter' and had just dismissed one of
the many irrelevant hits, this 'String Trimmer Spool Winder'.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3024616

Reading barely further than your 'winders' triggered my dumb
assumption that I'd missed a thread on the topic!
