This is pretty, but there's a new blade profile coming into use on the
higher performance boats that is not only 20% or so more fuel efficient,
but 30+ db quieter. The nickle and dime crowd won't buy it, cuz the
maker wants 5 grand per regardless of size. The blades are somewhat like
a lockwasher with a bigger spring set, and a gap at the joint that fits
the hub on both end of the blade, 40 mph on a boat with a couple 300
horse yammerhammers at full song and blade cavitation noise is gone. All
you can hear is the yammerhaw's at full song.

they gave it.
